Minion Method
A method of fire management where a small amount of hot coals is placed on top of a large pile of unlit charcoal, allowing the fire to gradually spread and maintain a steady temperature for hours.
Invented by Jim Minion, this is the standard way to run a Bullet Smoker (WSM). It prevents the ‘spike and crash’ cycle of adding hot coals repeatedly and allows for much longer cook times without intervention.
